Fungus infection?

Hello,
I'm sending you this message because I recently bought a coffee plant that has dark stains on its leaves.
I saw that it's probably a fungus infection.
Do you know a way to treat this problem?
Picking the stained leaves doesn't help and the infection doesn't stop spreading.

Thank you for your help, have a nice day.

  • Hi Céline!

Thank you for getting in touch. There are various reasons why coffee plants might develop black spots on their leaves. Firstly, I would investigate the potential presence of pests. While I couldn't identify any from the pictures, it's advisable to inspect the undersides of the leaves for thrips.

If there's a yellow halo around the black spots, it might indicate overwatering. During winters, most plants thrive when the soil is allowed to dry out between waterings. Excess moisture in the soil can also promote fungal growth. I hope this information is helpful to you! 🌿
